In our August challenge, you have to isolate two colors in one picture. This month’s challenge is Duotone.
Your task: Isolate two colors in one photo.
For our challenge “Duotone” we want you to isolate two colors in one photo. That means, your photo should contain two dominant colors and no other colors should appear.
The trick here is that the colors should also harmonize together, thus creating a coherent overall picture. Often nature does a fantastic job of presenting a scene with two colors that go great together. As an example, think of yellow or red flowers on a green meadow. A blue sky can also be one of the colors in your image, combined with an element on the ground.
But it doesn’t have to be a picture of nature. You can also prepare and set up specific scenes for this challenge or start looking for them around your home. It often helps to get close to the subject. The closer you are, the easier it is to isolate individual colors.
