Put on some comfy shoes and step outside for an adventure. This month’s challenge is: Nature.
Your task: Take a photo of nature around you.
Nature photography covers a wide range of photography elements that all have in common they are taken outdoors and devoted to displaying natural elements such as landscapes, wildlife, plants, and close-ups of natural scenes and textures. Nature photography doesn’t necessarily require you to be extremely adventurous and go visit remote places — although those sure do tend to result in some fantastic shots. No matter where you are, in the countryside, mountains, or even the most crowded city, nature is all around us. Just some of the examples you can shoot for this challenge are: close-up or macro photos of plants or textures like leaves, petals, and spider webs in your backyard or neighborhood. If you have a nearby park go ahead and look for birds, squirrels, or other animals. Or you can pack up and go for a hike to some remote area and take full landscape shots if you happen to be lucky enough to have forests or mountains close to your door.
Now it’s your turn! We want to challenge you to get creative with your nature captures for this challenge, whether you’re shooting in your local park or some out-of-the-way retreat.
